Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3rd June 2026

Your Remote Tech Recruiter Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, how we use it, and your rights under UK data protection law.

This policy covers personal data collected through this website only. It does not cover how we handle candidate or client data in the course of providing recruitment services, which is dealt with separately.

1. Who we are

Your Remote Tech Recruiter Ltd is the data controller responsible for your personal data.

  • Registered in England & Wales, company number 15090176
  • Registered office: Swallow House, Parsons Road, Washington, United Kingdom, NE37 1EZ
  • Contact: liam@yourremotetechrec.com
  • ICO registration number: ZB729711

2. What data we collect

Information you give us:

  • When you complete our contact form: your name, company, email address, and the content of your message.
  • When you book a call via Calendly: your name, email address, and scheduling details.

Information collected automatically:

When you visit the site, we and our analytics tools may collect technical and usage data such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and how you interact with the site. This is collected via cookies and similar technologies (see section 4).

3. How we use your data, and our lawful basis

We use your data to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and communicate with you — lawful basis: our legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us, and/or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
  • Schedule and hold discovery calls — same basis as above.
  • Operate, maintain and improve the website — lawful basis: your consent (for non-essential analytics cookies) and our legitimate interests in understanding and improving how the site is used.

We will not sell your data, use it for automated decision-making, or send you marketing without your consent.

4. Cookies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies:

  • Essential cookies — necessary for the site to function.
  • Analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors use the site (via Google Analytics).

Non-essential cookies are only set with your consent, which you can give or withdraw at any time via our cookie banner or your browser settings.

5. Who we share your data with

We don't sell your data. We share it only with trusted third parties who help us run the website and our business, including:

  • Calendly — to schedule calls.
  • Google — for website analytics.
  • Our website hosting and email providers.

These providers process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements. Some are based outside the UK (for example, in the US). Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

6. How long we keep your data

We keep enquiry and booking data only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete it. Analytics data is retained according to our analytics provider's settings.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access your data; have it corrected; have it erased; restrict or object to its processing; data portability; and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email liam@yourremotetechrec.com.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

8. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No transmission over the internet is ever completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

9. Children

Our website and services are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows the latest version.
